Staff Selection Commission, Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions is an organization under Government of India to recruit staff for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices. SSC (Staff Selection Commission) holds the CGL (Combined Graduate Level) Exam for the appointment of aspirants in 30 posts in Grade B and C category under different departments of various government ministries, offices and departments. Combined Graduate Level Jobs is an important part of the Functioning Government of India and in Subordinate Offices.
Its headquarters is located in New Delhi and it is attached with DoPT (Department of Personnel and Training). SSC recruits candidates through seven such exams including SSC CGL, SSC CHSL, SSC JE, SSC SI ASI, SSC JHT, etc. The selected aspirants are appointed under Grade-‘B’ & ‘C’ scale. SSC is the second most popular institution after UPSC and largest body to staff such number of candidates under government jobs.
Every year approx. 30 - 40 Lakhs eligible candidates apply for the Staff Selection Commission SSC
Exam and around 15 - 20 Lakhs candidates appear in the Combined Graduate Level Exam.
SSC CGL EXAM 2019 Notification is expected to be released soon and candidates have to submit online application form. The SSC CGL EXAM 2019 Online registration will close in June 2019.
